On November 1, 2020, I will be running my 9th marathon - New York City Marathon. This year is the 50th anniversary and I will be running it proudly in honor of my sister and in support of National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC).
Since October 2019, my sister Mandi has been fighting her battle with ovarian cancer. Throughout her constant daily struggles, she has proven to everyone around her just how strong of a woman she truly is every single day. Every dollar raised will strengthen the cause and every mile I run while I am training and running the NYC Marathon will be in honor of my sister Mandi who is running her own marathon every day, with courage, determination and might.
Ovarian cancer is when abnormal cells in the ovary begin to multiply out of control and form a tumor. Only about 20 percent of ovarian cancer cases are found early enough to treat the disease. An estimated 1 in 78 women will develop ovarian cancer in their lifetime.
The mission of National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is to save lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer and to improve the quality of life for survivors. By donating, you will truly be making an amazing difference. Your gift now will help fund research, increase awareness and support ovarian cancer patients and survivors of all ages.
Thank you in advance for your kind generosity and support for this wonderful cause. Please share with your friends and family!
Because together, we can make a difference!
