Running 4 Ruth
A little over 8 years ago, my mom was first diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. Two days before Christmas in 2011... she told me because I was there and knew something was going on, but wanted our family to be able to enjoy that Christmas together before sharing the news with all of them. This was pretty indicative of my mom's battle with Ovarian Cancer, for four years, she fought hard, she was brave, she lived her life, she believed, she found time to help others and she protected us and encouraged us to continue living our lives.
It's been 4 years now since she lost the battle with Ovarian Cancer and I plan to run the MCM in October as a way to honor her fight and her memory, to motivate myself to move forward, and to raise money for NOCC to support the fight so that maybe others don't have to experience what it is like to lose their mom, wife, grandma, sister, friend far too early.
Please help me support National Ovarian Cancer Coalition by making a contribution to my fundraiser and sharing this page with your family and friends. Every dollar I raise will advance National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's great cause! Additionally, you can ask me how you can get involved too.
Together, we can make a difference!
