In Memory of my Grandmother, Nancy Laible
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page as part of Team Teal. This fall I will be running my first marathon with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC). This cause is very near and dear to my heart, and I'll appreciate all the support I can get!
On November 3 I will be running in the 2019 TCS New York City Marathon in memory of my best friend and beloved Grandmother, Nancy Laible. My grandmother passed away in April of 2018 after battling stage 4 ovarian cancer. My grandmother was one of many women who have suffered and still are suffering from this terrible disease.
About 21,000 U.S. women get diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year, and about 14,000 lose their battle with ovarian cancer every year. All money raised will go towards the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and the amazing strides they have been taking to make a difference.
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is dedicated to saving lives by fighting tirelessly to prevent and cure ovarian cancer and to improve the quality of life for survivors. For more than 25 years the NOCC has been committed to raising awareness, promoting education, and funding research in support of women, families and communities affected by ovarian cancer.
Nancy Laible was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all. I am excited to become part of such an inspiring organization and look forward for what the future holds in the fight against ovarian cancer.
Thank you so much for your donation, together we can make a difference!
Lots of Love,
Melissa
